Define Cynical Fan Forums

Once again for the third summer in a row, I find myself in Yuma, Arizona, the sunniest place on earth and in the middle of the desert on the mexican/california border. Place is super hot in the summer, sometimes reaching over 110F or 36-38C.

Pros:
Yuma's population in the summer is less than a third than in winter so no traffic or tourists to bother me.

The dry heat isn't as bad as it sounds. Since there is no humidity the heat dissipates quickly. So by the next morning, it is stinkingly warm or sweltering but rather very cool! This morning I came out of the house and it was a very comfortable 70F and a cool breeze too. This lasted till noon where the heat reached 90F and above.

So despite me being away from home, I have my Tablet PC (HP Pavilion TX2000z, it is just like a wacom tablet!) so I can still communicate whenever I wish except when I don't bring it to places with me.

Personally I'd take the 110 degree dry heat over the 90+ degree humid heat anyday. When I get enough money, one of the things I'd like to do is take a trip out to the Southwestern United States. Arizona and New Mexico are two states I always wanted to visit.

If you do come, stay in Flagstaff. Because it is at high altitude the temperatures are very cool, there are many trees, and the Grand Canyon is nearby and so is Meteor Crater. Those locales are so huge no photo or video can describe them. You just have to see with your own eyes. The grand canyon is like close to 2km deep or something.

The natural melting point of a Welshman is 32C. After that my limbs go all floppy and I have to sit down and have a can of Ting.

Do some Welshmen have built in radiators? I bet that'd come in handy in these here parts. The temp this morning was a roomy 71F (very cool and comfortable) and now it is 87F (Very warm). I expect within a few hours it will hit 95 (Very hot). The pattern is predictable:

6-9am 65-75F
9-10am 80-90F
10-12pm 90-95F
12->6pm 95-110F at the highest
6-8pm 90F
