Funny, I'm like the opposite of most of you.

I'm basically back at this forum now cause I'm back IN school. Most of the time folks leave for a while when school starts. *shrug*
I'm bored as hell in most my classes and just hop online when there's nothing better to do.
Well, I'm bored and the school blocks all the instant messengers and IRCs. So that's why I'm here. meh. *pokes Miles and Foxhound* hey guys. Rawr.

'Sup Kelix! Glad you're back!

Astro> gforce's smiles can cure cancer in kittensgforce422 is awesome because:
-He made the absolute nicest comments about me in the other topic. I didn't respond to them yet, because I suck, but they are greatly appreciated! =D
-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.
-He joined the IRC sometimes. But not enough, I say! Chat moar =D
-He is evidently only 18 year old but he could easily pass for 25. =D
-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.

Welcome back....love the avatar, very cute ^.^
You may still be able to get on IRC if you wish....instead of connecting to the default 6667 port try using SSL and connect to the 6697 port. A lot of times schools/firewalls wont block the encrypted communications. If even that does not work you can IM me sometime and I can help you setup TOR which will almost certainly let you on IRC and IM. But I recommend trying the SSL option on port 6697 first as that is easier.

I can't download anything. All the IRC program websites are blocked, and they clear out the program files of every student computer in the school every night.Welcome back....love the avatar, very cute ^.^

They're serious about keeping us from using the computers for anything but research. Though it doesn't work. It screws up because... say you're doing research for anatomy. the word "anatomy" is blocked because people use it to find sexual images.
Say you have a report on the effects of drugs on the mind. You can't research it because all words about and related to any drugs (even penicillin) are blocked!!!!!
(sorry about any spelling errors. I normally use firefox which has an auto spellchecker, but the school uses ghetto-ass IE DX)
Why does that matter to you? besides, I'm in public highschool. You're not gonna recognize the name of it unless you live in western PA and just happen to know about it.Welcome back! Out of curiosity, what school do you go to?

Maybe get a USB drive to install the IRC client on to...the other option is try using the web client (assuming acidchat's website is not blocked and they have java installed). You can get the webclient via:I can't download anything. http://chat.acidchat.net
If you had a USB drive you could even install portable firefox on to it. Then you could use chatzilla or download xchat (possible off the acidchat homepage www.acidchat.net )...and if none of those work then use the oldest trick in the school firewall book. Use a proxy. You should be able to visit websites through a website proxy like www.unseensurfing.com You should be able to go to that site and load the webclient or other websites though that site. There are a million of other similar sites out there.
