There's more than one Stephan in the universe

Postby Stephan » Sun May 27, 2007 2:15 am

Hello everyone!

After my 2nd post (concerning the 22nd May sketches) I was invited to formally introduce myself, so here goes.

What I have in common with Stephan the aardvarke:
1) We have the same name. Mine was typed on my birth cirtificate in 1969 (before laser printers).
2) I mourn the decline of the dot com industry, as he and I seem to have suffered a very similar fate in that regard.
3) I was a prime target for bullies all through school (so in that I can empathise with Ozy also).
4) I like web comics and PC games.
5) I'm attracted to women but awkward around them (but not as inept as the other Stephan).

What I DON'T have in common with Stephan the aardvarke:
1) I'm not an aardvarke (obviously). I used to define myself as a kangaroo, being a herbivorous Aussie who likes to move about on foot long distances and enjoy the fresh air (I hate cities, but I'm stuck here for employment's sake). After I began using the avatar of my foxaroo character I accidentally became drawn into that persona.
2) I live in Sydney, Australia not Seattle.
3) I attend church services at Fox Valley community church (how perfect!). We call each other "fox church members" or "foxes" for short.
4) Compared to Stephan Aardvarke I'm the epitome of humbleness.
5) I would be more likely to spend time in conversation with Ozy & Millie than Avery (in fact I'd avoid Avery).
6) One romantic infatuation at a time is sufficient for me (and I'd avoid someone like Felicia).
7) I'm a prankster (but not irresponsible).
8] I have no strong opinion toward either Microsoft Windows or Bill Gates, although I'd like to see a lot more diversity in the Information Technology industry.
9) In addition to my interests above, I also have a fascination for Australian wildlife (I used to assist in the rehabilitation of injured & orphaned native animals), and I'm a railway enthusiast (American = "Railroad"). How come there are never any trains in Ozy & Millie? Doesn't the BNSF run through their city?

Welcome to the forums!!! (AKA random discussion at it's peak!!!) Another prankster!! *me gives you a high five* :-P Hope you enjoy your stay!

and kangaroos are cool!

Whoopsie, it's supposed to be foxaroo. My bad.
gforce422 is awesome because:
-He made the absolute nicest comments about me in the other topic. I didn't respond to them yet, because I suck, but they are greatly appreciated! =D
-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.
-He joined the IRC sometimes. But not enough, I say! Chat moar =D
-He is evidently only 18 year old but he could easily pass for 25. =D
-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.

Hello Stephan, welcome to DC. :D
Thanks! Love that snazzy avatar! I expect that's from when Millie was running a holiday resort in Greater Lewellanland?
be sure to check out all the topics around here, at least the active ones, there's some pretty good stuff here
I'll try to. There are a lot of demands on my time.
and kangaroos are cool!
Thanks! That makes half my DNA cool! :wag:

Hee hee! Love it!

In my case though I always envisaged that if Lewellan accidentally sneezed at me I'd casually pat the burning fur out. Native Aussie animals have fur with very loose roots as a protection against bushfires (forest fires). The fox lineage means I have thicker fur (and I hate summer - truly) but it still falls off easily.
Sincerely,
Stephan (not the Aardvarke)

It's not Seattle. Stephan Aardvarke once ran away to Seattle. Besides, I think they live in a suburb.

What, you think O&M fans wouldn't find your other half cool too?

Greetings Stephan. During the course of your stay a complimentary bag of peanut and will be served, containing macadamia nuts from Brazil. If you spill them on your chest, nut-in to worry about, our nutty clean up crews will take of it.

I thought he ran away to Silicon Valley (or is there a story I've missed?)

Not while the only kangaroo in Ozy & Millie wears "un-cool" glasses and a flower hat.

'Sokay, we grow them by the train load here too.

Not if I eat them first! Yum! It's important for a herbivore to know where to obtain protein. Mushrooms are the other vital comodity.
Sincerely,
Stephan (not the Aardvarke)
