I always thought "Ohio" sounded like a posh English greeting.
"Oh-Hi-yo Mr. Pompeldook! Would you like some more port to go with your cheese while you read the finacial times?"

It is. It means "Good morning." (See the "Yatta!" video for an instance of it.)
