Well, those of you who were around last year know the drill. Once again, I'm leaving the Internet for Lent. This year it's a bit different, though. Apparently "officially" Lent doesn't even count Sundays, so I'll be using those days to check up on stuff and maybe... MAYBE... leave a few posts. Next Sunday isn't one of them, though; I'll be home for Spring Break. So you won't see me again until the 12th, and then only after six. Anyone wanting to contact me can still do so by email; I'm octan(at)lupinia(dot)us as always. I'll still be checking it every day or so.

So, happy Fat Tuesday and Ash Wednesday to you all, and good luck to likeafox on getting the forum fixed.

Officially Lent also doesn't count Saturdays.

I'm yet to meet anyone who actually uses the weekends off rule to it's fullest extent because, well, it's too much like cheating.

Cya in 47 days or so (and that's the reason for weekends off. Lent is supposed to be 40 days long)

As a Catholic I should give up something... But I'm already technically grounded from the computer, I don't play video games often, candy is a rarity in my house, and I don't want to give up maple syrup like my dad suggested . I thought of giving up meat for the entire Lenten season, but I only want to do that if my whole family does it, and they don't really want to this year. Because basically I'll be living on cheese, yogurt, and maybe plain eggs (though omelets are still valid), and salads. Nothing wrong with that, its just we would have to plan ahead for such an endeavor.

I decided to give up being an atheist for atheist-lent. but since I'm an atheist, I don't celebrate things like atheist-lent.
