Hey everybody. I forgot to mention this a couple days ago but I was going to Washington DC for a little sight-seeing.

And now I'm back. But the memories will stay with me forever! Like the memory of the times I set off the MEHTUL detectors located in every building. Boy, was my face red. Never wear pants with MEHTUL buttons to the National Archives is my new travel motto.

Anywho, I really wasn't gone all that long.

Welcome back o ye who was not gone for long.

I learned the fickle nature of airport MEHTUL detectors last year when my belt buckle set them off. I didn't imagine it would, simply because it never has during the nearly two decades of flying I've been through.

Well, I got to see the original Constitution and Declaration of Independence among other no-flash-photography documents.

I really enjoyed the National Aerospace branch of the Smithesonian.

I saw Ford's theater, the Kennedy center for the arts, and the gift shop to the Spy Museum (they wouldn't let me in without a fourteen dollar ticket).

I saw the monuments and sat in on a small session of Congress (i think they were discussing the War against drugs). Didn't get into the White House. Apparently that requires a six-month reservation and/or a political contribution around the ballpark of $10,000 (I kid I kid ).

The heat in DC is exhausting though. Even worse than Florida.
