Arloest hits the coast.

I'll be gone for a few days, VERY early Monday morning (practically Sunday) I'm leaving for Los Angeles, California. Then from there, I'm going to head up to Santa Clarita, California to spend a couple (or more than couple) days at an AWESOME theme park there called Six Flags Magic Mountain. 16 roller coasters, a lot of them VERY intense. I'll probably also hit Venice Beach or visit Hollywood or the San Gabriel Mountains while I'm there.

Be back late Wednesday night (maybe).

Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...

They just don't make them like that anymore. *l* Of course I may be overly loyal to that coaster because my first job was at Kings Island. Or maybe it is because the first coaster known worldwide that I had riden. But I have to say, It really is incredible; there's nothing like it anywhere.

Oh! I'm back.

The Beast is an awesome coaster. By far my favorite wooden coaster. It's insanely long, and basically runs through the forest the whole time, and has a really cool tunnel. All of these elements I greatly enjoy.

Magic Mountain had awesome coasters, too. Actually, 4 of them went 70+ mph (one of which was 415 feet tall and 100 mph). 4 more were about 65 mph. Even 4 more were in the 50s. If you are a thrill seeker looking for good coasters, this park could even beat a park like Cedar Point. Every coaster here is awesome (so long as you can take them) and the park is excellent and even scenic. The only bad thing is the GIANT hill range in the middle of the park. Well over 100 feet tall, and you have to climb that thing, if you are not taking the tram up or down the hill. But once you're on it, it's very nice. There's even a few rides up there, including 2 coasters.

Also while in LA, I saw the famous HOLLYWOOD sign, the La Brea tar pits, and Venice beach. I also got to ride down all of the famous Blvds. (Sunset, Santa Monica, Wilshire, Hollywood, etc.)

Bunch of pics:
http://img8.exs.cx/img8/7553/jvhs090720ph.jpg
http://img294.exs.cx/img294/1466/jvhs09 ...
http://img169.exs.cx/img169/7250/jvhs09 ...
http://img167.exs.cx/img167/9922/jvhs09 ...
http://img299.exs.cx/img299/2555/jvhs09 ...
http://img292.exs.cx/img292/510/jvhs090 ...
http://img291.exs.cx/img291/2415/jvhs09 ...
http://img236.exs.cx/img236/2183/jvhs090245vi.jpg (hotel view)
http://img135.exs.cx/img135/170/jvhs090 ...
http://img105.exs.cx/img105/4633/jvhs09 ...
http://img64.exs.cx/img64/6955/jvhs090606eu.jpg
