Yeah.

A week from today I'll be flying to Washington D.C. for a school trip. Part of "Close-Up" if you've heard of that - it's less of a sightseeing tour and more of an educational thing, but should be pretty fun (or as much fun as you can have in Washington ) I'll be there for a week, fly back, and spend most of the next week in southern Cali with my family.

So in short... you'll see very little of me from the 13th through the 27th.

By the way, any tips on how to irritate airport security without actually getting in trouble? I'm trying to imagine what Millie would do in that situation...

Anywho, here for now, gone for later.

Well, not advice on irritating them.. but one thing to do is Don't take stick gum with you. People may get nervous if you tell them you keep your gum in your carry-on bags.

Ya know, I saw that you were flying to DC, and my first thought was "What kind of rich loser FLIES to DC?". Then my brain clicked into gear and I remembered that not everyone lives right next to it.

Have fun on your trip, we'll all be here when you get back!

----------

Oh, and most of the time, annoying airport security in any way WILL get you in trouble, those people have the sense of humour and personality of a wet mop. Take as little as possible in your carry-on luggage, and don't bring anything extremely valuable. The Transportation "Safety" adminstration lives for making airline passengers' lives miserable, so don't bring anything that could even remotely be used as a weapon. Even a pencil sharpener is too "dangerous" for them.

(I despise flying on airlines and have no plans to ever do it again, in case it wasn't obvious, too much BS for me :-P )

Ooh, DC. I'm sure they'll teach you how the federal government works. The tricky part is how to make the government stop.

Have fun.
