Things aren't going too well financially with my dad, it seems like it's one problem after another, and it's throwing up some chaos as to where I'll be two months from now. As for my personal situation, I'm okay, I-d say so-so, but still need some car repairs. Not enough to go out on my own again. Pending what happens in the coming weeks and months, I may have no other choice but to take what I have and make a solo cross country trip to Deep South Texas. I should have enough to do that if I skip the car repairs.

It's pretty obvious that this has been a terrible year for me so far. Very little is going my way.

Ouch.. Hang in there, Miles. I wish ya good luck and all. If you're ever around Houston and need some southern hospitality, don't be afraid to ask. I don't know how much help I'd be, but you should know that's no reason not to try.

There would be a chance that I'd be passing through the Houston area... I would guess it'd be the last time I'd have to stop for the night before continuing on to McAllen, TX, my final destination if that were to happen.

Also, I'd likely consider stops at Long Island, NY, Pennsylvania(?),and Ohio. A couple of (internet) friends I wouldn't mind seeing since if it were to happen.

SirJeferey: To clarify, it's basically my "if all else fails" option. It's not happening today or tomorrow... It depends on a lot of things.

I would suspect perhaps a trip sometime in November.

In the meantime, I AM in the chatroom as well.
