Alright I'm back. I read all your replies, and since you guys were so swell, I guess I should explain exactly why I had to leave.

Unfortunately it is something serious. My grandfather, "Papa", is lying in a hospital bed, dying. At first I thought it was because his doctor messed up his medicine, but apparently his kidneys are failing.

But I'm okay with it now. I'll miss the "Miss America" intro he sings for me everytime I walk into the room, but I guess everybody has to die someday. I'm not too worried about him either. He had a long, fruitful life and he's one of the most selfless people I know. God bless him.

But it's kind of weird too. My Nana asked the doctors to take him off Life-Support so now we're basically just waiting around for him to kick the bucket. It'll be like the next time he has a heart attack, we're just not going to do anything...

But most likely, he's going to die in his sleep.
(I'm going to miss his voice the most...)

So that's why I had to leave for the weekend.

Aww, Talitha, that is indeed sad news. Well, of all the ways to go, I would think it a relatvely nice one, as it gives people like you and your family time for prepare, and a chance to say goodbye. Few people ever get that chance.

*finds a Midi among the <a href='

You have my deepest sympathies ='(

My grandfather also has kidney problems. He may be around for a few more years, he may not, who knows...it's sad that it has to happen. May he live on in a better world.

I know how you feel. My grandfather died last October.

It's good that you got to see him. I'm sure he liked that. It's also a good thing that you're not terribly broken up over it. I'm sure he's had a good life. "There's a time and a place for everything," someone said.

One more thing. *hugs Talitha* You might need that.

And... *hugs Ankaris* You too.

My thoughts with you and your family. I know how little words like that can mean, but I really do mean them.
