I can't make him leave, I can't change him, so I've left so I won't have to deal with him anymore.

Will I be back? Who knows. Farewell, have nice lives, and to those of you whose names don't start with Rue-, stay in touch over IM clients. And sorry if this post is out of line, but right now, I could care less.

I'm sorry to sound self defending here, but I guess I have to do that, I'll try using a different method since streight out debate does not seem to ring you're bell.

Anyways, I think it might be better to play the devil's advocate here and argue you're point to show my point.

So, even though you know me very little, and haven't had as many discussions with me as several other members who have grown to like me, you wish to just give up.

You think it is easier to just give up altogether on coming here, than to learn to coexist with me, even though it has only been 2 months since I showed up, and as I have said, historically this time of year is the most stressful time of my life, and I am particularly stressed this year, and that may be reflecting on my behavior.

You do not think this is not being presumptuous, and I am the only one that is being overconfident, and arogant.

This is correct, is it not?

At all. Well, compared to things I have seen at some boards. This was nothing.
And also, yes, the community was very different before you came here, Ghostway. There was no Ozy and Millie archive and House Rules only had one colorer. Seriously, you are one of the primary members here. Don't go abandoning us. You did nothing wrong. Nothing. A moment of anger. It happens to all of us, one little incident doesn't change your reputation here.

Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Okay, I need to clear the air here.

GhostWay: You don't have to worry about us trying to kick you out of this forum; nearly all of us are very patient and honestly, your outburst was not without provocation.

Ruedii-X: It has only been two months, and you have managed to alienate yourself from the other members of this forum more than anyone else has ever managed to do. Given that so many people have managed to get along over things like religious and political differences, I find it hard to blame it on the community. (Heck, even the spammer got a positive reception.)
I have been putting my own feelings aside to try to defend your right to be here for much of this time. I had believed that somewhere you are trying to learn to be more sociable and trying to break out of those habits that have repeatedly strangled topics to oblivion and sent members away in disgust. After two months, you have not, and instead of accepting it, you pin the blame on others being too slow, others being too conceited, and on stress. I've followed these people for their entire times here; they know the meaning of stress.

Oh, and no need to accuse others of being too slow just because they want to have nothing to do with your "debates" in other topics. It is not justified.

You have tried to promote yourself as somewhat, if not entirely, superior to nearly everyone in this forum. you flaunt your intelligence like a weapon: a broadsword that has been dullend down to a near stump that takes multiple swings to take down whoever your 'foe' may be. In the process, you manage to swing it around like an untrained plebian worker and hit others unknowingly. You had made some assumptions that I know at least hit me, on multiple occasions, that I became irate with. knowing you had no clue, i tried to dismiss those.

Now, i've wathed, and at times, it does seem like you were adjusting to the environment here. This is meant to be a safe haven from the rest of the internet. Heck, it's a safe haven from the world! Logging in and reading some of the conflicts that you've been involved in, cause by stress, nyquil, or a nearby explosion of a hand granade, and trying to moderate whats what can be unnerving, stressful, and undesirable. Heck, this forum at one time had two moderators and 5h, and that was all it needed. The only reason it was necessary was when people double posted occasionally and wanted posts deleted.

Now, you may have book smarts, Reudii-X, but you certainly don't have much tact, and sometimes it seems like you lack even common etiquette. I think the mods, and admin, have been EXEEDINGLY patient with you and some of the things you've said. You need to learn that even those in your educational level will become a bit miffed or irate with what you say if you are not careful.

Now, i've laid my two bits out. I have said many times that I felt you could be an active member of the forum with a lot to add, and you may still. HOWEVER, you have worn many peoples patience thin, and I feel that you really should try to be a bit better with your words, and attitude, towards others in the forum.
If you've done things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all.

Oops. I thought I forgot something.

Let's see here.... I'll need to recalibrate the frequency on these phase emitters, then reverse the polarity of the energy couplings....
What? I'm just fixing the transporter! Haven't you ever taken repair hints from Star Trek?

You might also want to double check the annular confinement beam, reset the pattern buffers, and make sure you got that Heisenberg compensator in good working order. You gotta make sure the matter stream does not degrade during transport.
