Tell that to the Massachusetts Politicians who made this law up.

There are a lot of states with mandatory insurance laws, which I think is really stupid. I mean, this is the government forcing us to buy something. They should either make it optional, or keep it mandatory and have it included in the registration fees/car taxes, and then possibly allow private insurance companies to sell supplemental insurance. Either way, the current insurance laws are stupid, and possibly unconstitutional.
I don;t see how it's uncosntatutional for states to regulate insurance laws. They do keep the roads up and can regulate them. If you don;t drive on public streets you don;t have to obay any trafic or automobile laws.

I think the government shoudl provide auto insuranse and offer difernt plans as well as rewoard good drivers and punish bad drivers. PRivite insuance companies whoudls till oporate and those who OPT OUT for private insurance should get tax credits but not as much as the insurance costs per capita and those who don;t drive or have autos shodul get a full tax credit on insurance per capita. Then again I'm a socialist so what do you expect?

I say it might be unconstitutional because it's forced consumption. No other product or service that I can think of is a required purchase, aside from government-run industries. Citizens ought to be free to choose not to patronize insurance companies, which I think would fix a lot of what's wrong with the insurance companies and their rates. If they had to actually WORK for their customers, I guarantee their rates would be much less than they are now.

The government does not do enoguh, in my opinion, to gaurunty these esentails but a lot of them have similar restrictions. A lot fo people do have more transportation options then a car and I think that if the government has a right tax it they have a rihgt to force other expenses on it. I think any federal law would be rightfully found unconsititional but the states arn't clearly infrinign on indivudual rights and especialy not of majority opinion.

...Oh, and now my good friends seem to have mysteriously vanished from the Internet.... I rarely see them online anymore...

I could really use someone to talk to right now....

[Edit] NOTE: Those wishing to talk to me must add me to their YIM/MSN Messenger contact list. I don't allow messages from anyone that's not on my contact list. Primarily for security reasons -- I've been spammed and contacted too many times by people I've never heard of saying offensive things.

Or you could just talk here. We have a chat room.

...Unless, of course, the evil computer demons are blocking the way. It happens.
