Wow, that's a lot of wads. I have that many for SRB2, but not Doom. (Mostly because I'm a 56K user.) Jdoom's okay. I like the MD2 models and such, but ZdoomGL will have the same eventually. Still cool, though. I might as well throw up my *tiny* mod.

If I had help from those people at the forums, I'd be much further, blah. It's more sci-fi than most wads out there. (No hellish areas, a storyline) Also, it's based on my published universe, Point Blank.

I don't exactly trust the people on Doomworld forums (I'm guessing that's what you're referring to there), probably explains why I never registered...

I'd offer help but my wadbuilding skills are next to naught. Plenty of ideas and suggestions I have though...

I assure you that I'm am 100% human flesh and internal organs, and... such.

Oh, btw, Traysandor, Zdoom has it's own forum right at the site. (I don't like Doomworld either. Only thing I go there for is to sometimes check for new jdoom stuff. Heck, I haven't signed on yet, either. My name on Zdoom and most other non-sonic sites is SMG M7, just so you know.)

Ah, I see, I know where it is. Well still, I don't know how much help I could be to that kind of community. Maybe ideas and such, that's about it.

I check /newstuff all the time for anything really worth downloading, and an occasional trip to Post Hell for a few laughs at morons. It is *not* much, but it may entertain you for a few minutes. Difficulty settings are totally implemented, so have fun. Here's my original text that describes it:

You are a security guard on the first public deep space liner, the Saint Mariana. You go through the little on-board training sim, and as you watch the next guy go through on a monitor something happens. Training is cancelled for the rest of the day and you are supposed to report back to your bunk.

As you walk back you find a door is shut tight because the ship was latched onto by something. To get to your quarters, you have to go by the bridge. While walking by you can hear the captain speakong to the crew. You stop to listen through the door. Some sort of ship docked on the Saint Mariana, and the your ship' scanners have no way to read this new vessel. It turns out the ship is hostile and the St. Mariana had tread into some alien races territory. E.T. wasn't so happy about this, so they decided to capture it. You never see the actual aliens, but you have to get past the parts of the ship that aren't so intact, such as fallen platforms, toxic and slippery slime (using the ice special), exposed wires, and the occasional stray bullet from a firefight.

You make it to the hangar and excape in a small fighter-ship, along with a few more guards and very few passengers.

That's the first level, and I dare not say more than mention that there is a war, space fights, and some odd humor.

For your enjoyment, here's a list of weapons intended for this mod:

Pistol: 9mm sprites for the normal doom handgun

Shotgun: Synthetic version of the normal doom shotgun

Autogun: My personal favorite, a stock automatic handgun that somewhat resembles my "name," except this babby has a back-loading clip and faster fire.

Energy Pistol: Not exactly a phaser gun. This pistol has about the same power as the 9mm, but it is faster and uses charges, not bullets.

Plasma Shotgun: Sort of like a SSG, but only has one barrel and a five shell clip. It's got different ammo, too.

Rocket Launcher: An rpg, like on any FPS. Needs reloading b/t shots, though.

Concussion Cannon: "Beserk"-style projectile launcher, it fires a gravitational flux through the air and kills whatever unlucky enemy or friend that gets hit. Strong, slow, and has little ammo, too bad it stops when it hits anything and has no area damage.

AM Rotator: The rotator is like the venom gun from RTCW but a bit more powerful. AM stands for arm mounted, by the way.

Solar Gun: THE most powerful weapon, and the last you'll get, it uses solar plates and fires continuously until the plates are drained or you release the trigger. You can only hold five solar plates at a time, and this gun uses them up fast, but it packs more punch than a BFG.

As you can see, the solar plates will need to be scripted in, but the other ammo is interchangable.

Bullets: Pistol, Autogun, AM Rotator
Shells: Shotgun
Charges: Energy Pistol, Plasma Shotgun, Concussion Cannon
Rockets: Umm... The rocket launcher, maybe

The monsters are all aliens, as I don't keep a Hell in Point Blank. It's more of a realisic Sci-Fi like you'd see on Aliens or Starship Troopers, ect. The aliens are as follows:

Clawsnake: 6 foot tall snake-like things with two legs, one eye, and two big claws on their feet. Their main method of attack is to gut their enemies while running about quickly and screeching like banshees. Kill them just to make 'em shut up if that's what it takes.

Cark: Big, ugly slug things with bug-eyes, tough beaks, and lots of high-tech weaponry. These guys are as smart as any human, and they also command the other two races trying to win the war.

Poppers: Tiny, fast, and deadly. I won't tell what these bons of sitches do to people, but it ain't pretty. They seem to come from the same planet as the Clawsnakes. Also lovingly called needle-asses, for a reason.

Motez: Violent, smart, and disturbing. These aliens attack with poisonous darts, which, happily, are "de-poisoned" by your armor. Not so good, though, is the fact that they hurt a good bit at the speed they're shot. Motez don't seem to like anybody but each other.

There are other types of the above enemies, suh as armored Clawsnakes and such, so all the enemy slots will be filled.

Hmm, let's take a look-see then, one thing I don't mind doing is wad testing, since I can't help anywhere else...

** Wad tested using ZDoom 2.0.91**

Hm, lets see, So far not bad, though I don't know if you designed the pistol marine in the start room to shoot at you. It doesn't make sense to have someone shooting at you if everyone's on the same side . The same goes for the Knuckle Marines in the hallway that attack you(The Evasion/Shotgun rooms don't count in these instances). You shoud take out several pistol marines in the evasion room, they fire pretty quick and accurate, I died every time I tried it, and so will most other players in all probability. I managed to live in the shotgun room though, so that's okay. I guess you haven't built the rest but so far, pretty decent, everything else works fine. Looks pretty good as far as level design and bugs.
