I went camping!

Well I went to a Camporee this weekend and just came back. The theme was cooking, and we basically stayed in camp cooking our meals. Breakfast was simple, egg rollups (sausage, eggs, chedder cheese in a flour totilla), lunch was a beef and barley soup (would have been better if some beer was added but it was Boyscouts so we couldn't bring it), the snack was Italian pasta salad, and dinner was herb and spice fried chicken. I made both the Italian pasta salad, which I didn't look at the recipe and just started putting spices in. I put some cayenne pepper, a little powder ginger, powdered sage, thyme, some sweet paparika, including dried basil (and some fresh basil) and oregano, also rosemary. Well needless to say only the oregano and the basil was supposed to be in there <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... s/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo--> ... But it turned out to be a big hit and I think we got full points for it when they judged it <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... /smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--> . I actually assumed all those spices were going to be in there until someone made me look at the recipe after I was done <!--emo&:P--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' /><!--endemo--> . And then there was the herb and spice fried chicken which I also prepared. We heated up the oil in a dutch oven and fried the chicken in it. <br>Well it turned out that it was a full moon last night so... There had to be some howling of course <!--emo&:P--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' /><!--endemo--> . So our troop joked around and we all howled for a while at the moon we were laughing and stuff. But of course I had to bring it up to the next level <!--emo&:rolleyes:--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... lleyes.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='rolleyes.gif' /><!--endemo--> . We had to go down to the parking lot which the moon was fully shining over it. So I warned them not to go down there and that I didn't feel quite so well. I also started speaking like people in the Victorian era did, and talked about "the creatures of the night". Until we reached the edge of the parking lot and I stalled them saying that it was not safe in the full moonlight, but they made me, so I pretended to go through the "transformation" and growled and howled at them, until one person was a bit fed up with it and told me to stop. So I did, but I continued talking in a raspy growling voice and walked a bit haunced over, until we were out of the moonlight. Then it got kinda loopy <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... /smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--> .We got back to camp, me and someone else conducted "The Ritual" and sacrificed someone <!--emo&:P--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' /><!--endemo--> . Then I began chanting when the dutch ovens were put on the fire to burn the oil out of them and they flared up and I was chnating. Then when it was done flaming I said something about forging a dark artifact... And it gets better <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... s/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo--> ... I would stand somewhat out of the light of the campfire and then go into the woods, they never noticed me. So I snuck through the woods... Well I ran through the woods at night, and then appeared on the other side of the campsite. So then I walked back to the direction fo the campfire and I said hello and they were all freaked out by it <!--emo&:lol:--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... /laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /><!--endemo--> (they never noticed me leave <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... /smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--> ) and then I scared someone the same way when they were in the leantoos... ok thats enoguh typing for now. Ok I didn't read all that (because frankly I don't have time to read paragraph like posts) but I take it you went camping, in which case, I hope you had seven metric tons of fun Caoimhin.
