Just wondering 'cause I saw an episode of "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" (the TV series) in which Wayne explains that a kitchen rag was "laced with potassium, which ignites when it comes into contact with any liquid." He then tosses it onto a coffee spill and it bursts into flames.

I figure the guys who made the show would know, since they probably did it for real to make the SFX work.

But hey, you guys believe what you wanna believe. Please. I know the last thing you need is more help knowing what's flammable and what isn't.

HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THAT CAN OF---AAAAAAUGH!!!

Potassium and Sodium do ignite in contact with water, and as you go down group 1 the reactions become stronger. But I'm sure I read somewhere it was phosphorous

[/pie]

Anyhaw...

I like it Hdofu m8 - been waitin to see that 4 sum time now. Its good

Yes, phosphorus is explosive when it comes into contact with water, but cesium is more explosive...and francium......
