Band camp

Band camp is camp...for band. As in my high school's marching band. Every August, about a week before school starts, we go away to a camp where we work to learn the show that we play for that year. And yes, it does take over a week of solid work to put a marching band show on the field, believe it or not.

Am I the only one who thinks that parades and the like might go a lot better without rehearsal? I mean, in the comedic sense...<br><br>actually, i'll just stop here since i have no idea what i'm talking about.<br><br>CHEESE!

When I was in marching band (my freshman year in high school), we practiced for a month before the school year even started. Although we did it at the high school at least, we didn't have to go off to some godforsaken band camp in the middle of the wilderness.<br>

We've been working since early June.
