I can't like I said on my iPods browser at the moment. Will do once I get my new ( to me, it's old actually) laptop.

There are a few IRC clients for the iPhone / iPod Touch, but I believe the best one is Colloquy which costs a few dollars.

No, just the way it used to be done. Now you have to contact the administrator via email and they sign you up.
