<a href='

"Tongue splitting" is a body modification procedure that involves cutting the tongue in half down the middle in order to give it a lizard-like appearance.<br><br>I'm quite sure we're all in agreement that this procedure is pretty rediculous and kinda nasty as well.<br><br>I think the question is whether or not politicans can regulate who can perform this procedure. Obviously, something like this shouldn't be done in a dark, unkempt, unsterile parlor. But to what extent can politicans regulate what people do to themselves.<br><br>Anyway, this is mostly to bring some lighthearted discussion to the forum. I also want to know who the heck would get this procedure done anyway. One friend of mine suggested that maybe there's some really crazy furry person who likes lizards enough to get this done. This also raises the quesion of whether or not a reptilian furry can exist. <!--emo&--><img src='

why not? What's so weird about slicing your tounge in two for the sake of vanity? It's just progress. We already stick shiney and colorful things in us and enlarge body parts for the same reason.<br><br>[/sarcasm]

Meh. I will never, ever do anything unnatural to my body.... besides, that would have to be insanely painful to accomplish.... anyone for Novocaine...?

Anyone who is willing to spend the money for such a procedure should probably invest that money in brain augmentation instead.<br>

I'm not happy with the way my tounge is right at the moment. I want it to stop hurting. Stupid popsicle... did you know popsicles were this painful?<br><br>it's all a big trap. they lure you in on a hot day, with their icy-coolness, and their nice flavorfulness. and when you eat them, they strike! they attack your tounge. EVIL!!! <br><br>Of course, i'd take this annoying pain over getting it split in two any day.

Why would someone want to split their tounge? That would like kill a good bit of taste buds.

Someone's motives for getting their toungue split are mostly irrelevant to a legal discussion of this sort. The fact is, some people like to do this, and it's not hurting anyone, and it should therefore be legal. I'm not sure I support this bill, but I don't entirely oppose it either, since it's not making the procedure illegal, just not as easy to have it performed.

NOT HURTING ANYO-- oh, right... novacaine. It'd still probably be sore for a while after though.

Not hurting anyone except themselves, silly.

O.O<br><br>errr... right, that's... different. <br><br>Probably a good idea making it so only qualified people can do the procedure. It would be a pointless waste of time to make it illegal though, they aren't hurting anyone.

I've got a friend who's got this huge slice down his tounge, he tells his friends he was born that way but he tells others he cut himself with a stanley knife cuz he was bored. I'm not sure which to believe but I know he's going to have this procedure done to him when he's old enough and has the money.
