To me, this work has no appeal whatsoever, nor does it have any symbolic merit, so no.

It ain't art, but it sure is yellow.

Art is in the eye of the beerholder.

It depends really. What was the person who made it thinking at the time? It may seem absurd to some, but in a way, something so simple as this can have far more meaning than the most detailed painting. Was it meant to give us an impression? If so, then yes, it is art.

I once went to an art gallery where there was this one exhibit of a guy standing in his underwear on top of a stage surrounded by light bulbs. That was the art.
