Of all things, children are especially good at coming to false conclusions, and believing in complete fabrications.

Some of my favourites:
"When I was little, I used to be scared to use the bathroom on the first floor; I had a phobia that Abraham Lincoln lived in my shower."
"Back in the fifth grade we used to drop money into the heater in the girls bathroom for 'The Michael Jackson Fund'. We believed that Michael Jackson came to the school at night to collect his money and whoever put in the most would be considered a super cool chick."
"I had a strange fear that if I closed my eyes in the bathtub, William Shakespeare would come up through the drain and kill me. I knew his name, but I had no idea who he was, so I just naturally assumed he was some sort of bathtub vampire."

Post your silly beliefs; I can't think of any of mine at the moment, but I know there were definitely a few.

Yeah there was something similiar to this in the Da forum. I sense a bad feeling about it but I guess I'll just ignore that. I used to believe that the moon was made out of cheese.

I believed the same thing. In fact, for years I was petrified to use the toilet without the additional plastic seat lest I fell in and got stuck forever.
