I've been conlanging for several months now...I have an account on the ZBB of the same username.
BTW, hi to everyone here!

Conlanging - the art of making up a completely new language from scratch. (If I'm remembering this correctly...)
The farthest I got in my attempt at a made-up language was a study of phonology. I kinda lost interest after that point.
Though, what's the ZBB?

I was doing that for a while. I kind of based it on English, Spanish, French, and a mix of nonsense that just spilled out of my mouth one day. I had a goal of creating a language without "the" in it. There still is no "the," but I had more important things to do. It does make appearances in some of my stories. You can almost comprehend some of it. I had rules pertaining to conjugation and plurals, and a small base vocabulary. I was more interesting in writing stories and stuff than translating English into a language nobody else knows.

I'm currently working on reconstructing the Ancient Germanic language. Not exactly a conlang, but it comes close I suppose.

I invented the grammar of a new language, it's just a matter of sitting down and coming up with some vocabulary. Although, that won't be as hard, since it uses English nouns. The language is called Instrumental English.
Had no clue there was a word for doing that. Now I feel less nerdy.

I just prefer making new words for use in English. If any of you use the word slutatorium you owe me a nickel.

OOH.
I guess you can say I am.
I like to speak in words that don't have much meaning (yet) everyday. Heh. I have set words of course. Just most of the time when I say stuff that make no sense, most of the words have no meaning.
I'm such a dork. xD

Somewhat related to language construction, you might want to check out my thread on English writing systems:

Wow, you too huh? :P I ramble the same way sometimes, the only thing is, some of the words I use have a meaning to my dog. I can tell her some things/give her some commands that nobody else would be able to understand.
