I've been asked by others to explain what happened.

Please note that Nyte lives in Australia so I'm not exactly sure what time it was for him.

On Tuesday afternoon, I talked to Nyte on AIM and he told me he had passed out the night before. He then explained it was from blood loss and that his mother had beaten him because she found out he has a boyfriend. His mother apparently comes from a very catholic family.

He did not go to the hospital till the next day, Tuesday at midnight EST. I have not heard from him since. I hope that he is healthy and that his mother is arrested.

Child abuse is no laughing matter. Nyte is 17, and he just stood and took the beating. His mother should be arrested for assault and child abuse.

People keep asking me for the logs of the conversation. I don't keep logs. Sorry.
I pray for Nyte's health and I hope you guys send him your love too.

Nyte, I'm with you here. All the way across the world, but I still hope to be as close to you as I can be. I'll be here for you if you need support, advice, or just someone to talk to.

Wow... That sucks............. That seems a bit harsh(understatement of the pantsless year), beating up someone for that. I don't like gay stuff, but beating him up won't solve a damn thing. And taking it without doing anything, eesh, and losing some much blood he passed out, his mother don't deserve him if she tries to solve it by beating the shit out of him. While I don't back up the boyfriend bit, his mother should be locked up for awhile.

Blood loss from taking a beating?! I don't care what someone might have done, that is just taking things too far. I hope he recovers okay, and that his mother gets some sense knocked into her.

I don't recall ever talking to this Nyte fellow, but he has my support all the same.

Child abuse? No not at all. At 17 he is more than capable of defending himself. It is his choice that he didn't, even against his own mother.

Assault? Sure that is a valid charge, since it was an unwarranted attack. But there is enough legitamite child abuse in the world without having fake charges like this brought on.

Assault is someone touching you without your permission or verbally talking to you abusivelly.

That still doesn't change the fact that an able-bodied 17 year old is capable of defending themself.

Not every 17 year old can, or even wants to. Some refuse to fight a family member, or is too scared to fight back against said family member.

Wow. That is just wrong. Nothing could warrant a beating that severe, much less simply him having a boyfriend. If something isn't causing harm to others, there is nothing wrong with it, in my opinion.

All I can do is wish for Nyte to recover quickly and for justice.

That would be assault and battery.

Ouch, that's rough. Hopefully Nyte fully recovers and hopefully his mother gets brought up on charges of assault and battery.
