There is a virus going around that hijacks an AIM user's profile and changes it to say "I can't believe I found [screen names]'s Picture here HAHAHA", with a link to a valid-sounding website (buddypicture.net, I think). Clicking on this link will bring the victim to a website where a Trojan Dropper (as identified by Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition Server) will be transferred to the system, and the website will attempt to install an IE add-on. If you see this link in someone's profile, DO NOT CLICK IT!

Just doing my patriotic duty as a career computer technician and Microsoft Certified Professional, perhaps with enough warning this will be stopped.

I'm glad I nevr use IE on my personal computer. I got rid of it the best I could. I'm sure it's still there though. Is it sad MS has more controll over my computer than I do?

Bill Gates likes power. so he integrated IE with WE(windows explorer) so you can't get rid of it. thankfully, you can prevent this with patches from imchaos.com

Good thing I never use AIM in the first place.
