My first experience with the internet was an MMORPG and my character was named Blitzen. My brother won my character in a bet and I had to make a new one so I was looking for words that sounded similar to Blitzen and I ended up with Blizzard.

Blizzard, your username is my mom's maiden name, and also the name we use when going out to eat because the host/hostess can't usually work with our actual last name very well.
