My avatar: It's Elliot from El Goonish Shive (read it or the owl will eat you). Then I was tied up during a week long holiday, and Tavis made the cool chair and ropes thing. Thanks Tavis. My title: Something Dr. Fred once said in my LJ.

Certainly the fair majority of you must recognise me as the crabmeat from the oldschool Sonic the Hedgehog games. A year before I joined the community, I got to work on this image using MS Paint and some free time on the side for the next couple of weeks. I made it as a fanart thing to submit to the guys who made the comic back when I used to read it. Fastforward a year: I'm a new member of DC and I am completely naked in my avatar section. I browse through my old paint files (there are a lot of them) and I run across my crabmeat drawing and realize it is the ideal avatar. I did the necessary editing and I am loyal to it to this day, which I'm actually kind of proud of because a lot of guys changes avatars like shirts and yet I've only needed one image to represent who I am. It's been about a year and a half now, I think. My title means nothing.

The uryuoms strike again. It's uryuomoco, a language used by uryuoms (wich translates to aliens) in El Goonish Shive. Theres a thread about it somewhere on the Keenspot forums but its missing a lot of the grammatic rules. There was a big thread about it once on the TWC forums, but it crashed. I'm trying to write up my own set of rules for it now. BTW what I said means: Do you speak uryuomoco?

[...unWARP!!!] Good evening. Well, the original avatar was scanned from an archeology book but the original image was about 5x5 mm. About a month ago I got another archeology book on Aztecs, found a larger and more accurate carving of a jaguar head (and one that has a closer resemblance to the one on the Aztec calendar), I scanned it, vectorised it, rounded the ear a bit (it looked more like an ocelot), put the fangs a bit more forward in the mouth, added the glyph for "speak" (in the previous avatar I had it upside-down, ...), added the chain, Star, Cross, and earring, and shrunk it to the correct size.
