Ahh, what's in a name?
Well, "Rasputin" is well known as the mad monk of Russia. I picked the name while getting into the game "Majestic" because of his reputation as an off-kilter mystic, and it's pretty much stuck.
As for the "42x69" part, 42 is The Answer to Life, The Universe and Everything, natch. 69 is the year I was born. I kinda cribbed that part from my ex-brother-in-law (who's still like a brother to me) who uses it in his username.

Anyone who takes anything I say seriously deserves what they get.

So it's ironic? Okay, we can talk civilly.my favorite pokemon is exeggutor and I like furries so I combined them
Rasputin: I had a hunch about the "42" part, but I was afraid you thought of "69" for the same reason as Bill and Ted.

Where to begin... Okay. I write fiction stories. I have a character named Keijai Ki Tallanahn Felligenisis, who is basically a genetically engineered psychic cheetah hybrid called a Cheetahni. I have another character who is a sorcerous twin-tailed fox. I needed a personality that combined the pair into one incredibly unique representation that can only be me. So, for a name, I used one of Keijai's nicknames: KJ Fellie.
So I'm the spotted fox, KJ Fellie.
You can find a self-portrait I did here: http://shivae.org/aliendice/index.php?showtopic=117
You'll have to scroll all the way down to the fifth post, you poor, lazy people...
This is in another forum I frequent, for the comic Alien Dice http://aliendice.com/
It's a good comic. Anyhow, I lurk in that forum, as well as the forum on The Nice http://nice.purrsia.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi
On a related note, my avatar is a drawing I did of Patch McGriffon, another character of mine. Patch is an early predecessor of the Cheetahni.
And my roommate the ninja penguin got his nickname from me fairly recently. I never see him around, so that leads me to believe he's a ninja, and he keeps it really cold in here, plus he uses Linux, which makes me think he's a penguin. Thus, he is the ninja penguin... Yes, bold and lowercase just looks better in this case.
Also, he is the owner of the creepy, one-eyed gargoyle-cat that we call Dusty, because that's the way he gets if nobody bothers to wake him for a long period of time.
And my signature? It's kind of along the same lines as "Narf" (Pinky, from Pinky and the Brain), only since I'm half fox, yerf makes more sense. (Yerf is often used to represent the sound of a fox's bark.)
Maybe if you're lucky, you'll spot some of my yerf-isms scattered about the internet.
EDIT: I added Locke to my signature mostly to see if I could, but also because he rules. And the little Locke emoticon just suits me, especially if I'm ranting.
EDIT (again): I removed Locke from my signature because it was just getting too bulky. For those who miss My Locke sig:

I added a haiku version of a great quote of mine instead:Behold, the pirate fox! (He came so close to being my avatar...)
It was originally "You usually have to take what people say with a grain of salt, or in cases like mine, a shaker or two."You usually
have to take what people say
with a grain of salt.
(or in cases like
mine, a shaker or two may
yield the best result.)
A funny bit from a thread:
When I eat baked beans I can fart a hole in the universe.
funny, yet random and off topic.
A funny mutilated translation: むらがあるフォックス "The fox which is unevenness"This will live on in infamy for ages. I'm sticking it in my sig until I lose interest...

Watch the video and see if you can figure it out.
p.s. Armadillo; NOT Dime. If I was Dime the fourth and last letters would be the other way around.
p.p.s. Admit it: I totally win at having the most random name-origin.
p.p.p.s. If you're wondering why I have an Ocelot and not an Armadillo as my avatar, you're thinking too hard into this. Perhaps I should be wearing El Goonish Shive's "Jeremy" instead...
