Is it just me, or is this becoming eerily similar to the Dungeons and Dragons incident, except none of us have become bigots about it yet?

I prefer fencers and kenjitsu masters (commonly refered to as samurai) to pirates and ninjas, because the former are skilled and (typically) honorable while the latter are typically thieves. Mind you, there are some pirates who can fence and some ninja who are martial art masters - even kenjitsu masters - and then there are some pirates and ninja who are nice, like Vyse (Skies of Arcadia) and Ryu (Ninja Gadien), and they are the cool ones.

Sorry about your friend, Norsenerd. It's really terrible that he'd die from some stupid accident.
Still mostly here.

He died form beign a kid, yes. That's to much pf a shame right there.

Most of the people who actd with honor only said they did. They often borke the rules when they saw it fit. This was especialy true with eourpean chilvarly and knighthood. I also think pirates had their own code and wasn't anythign worse then other countries (like Britan) were doing at the time. Todays piracy ont eh high seas is diferent. They are nothign but thievs and murderers. Ninja's were moslty assasians. The people who did put honor above all else are great. They deserve ntohgin but our admriation even if we disagree wiht thier honor code. It was a diferent time.

Also my perosnal favorite are Vikings (duh)!

Knights had an honor code. They were essentially gangsters.

Just about everyone had some form of an honor code, written or unwritten. Even today, gangs hold some form of a code.

I just keep thinking about "Pirates of the Carribean" and "parlee" (or whatever it is, anyone who saw the movie, which is a large chunk of this board, should know what I'm talking about).
