I know a few people called Ian myself.<br>I'm Michael, which is common ofc, but the amount of people that still manage to transpose the a and the e and come up with 'Micheal' is phenomenal.

Well, 'Ian' would be more common in the U.K. than the U.S.

When I called up Sharp tech support for the status on my smashed up Zaurus, the operator mispronounced my name. It's supposed to be spoken with a long a vowel sound, like in "tape", but he pronounced it like in "apple". He then went on to explain he has a friend with that name but the other pronounciation.. Weird. I've met a couple people online that know a Tavis, but oddly enough never met any of them myself. Very strange.

Tavis is your real name? I've never heard of such a name. I've heard of Travis of course, but never a Tavis. I was named after my father, and his father, so my name is fairly unique, Leo.

My brother-in-law is named Tavis, but with the short 'a' (apple) pronounciation.

And I know it is not, Iyestorm. I personally pulled it straight from a screencap of the movie it was in. Funny moment too.. In the animated version, the wheels of an 18-wheeler were passing it from left to right in the foreground as a less fortunate main character was getting run over and making all sorts of funny squeak-toy sounds.
