Pandas have 5 fingers plus a "thumb" :D
Cats don't have thumbs and don't need them, thats what they keep humans for ...

Cats have five fingers, but the fifth isn't a thumb as we know it, as it's not apposable. As far as I know, there are only a few mamalian species that have that other than ourselves.

Hence I said most, I've been scratched by plenty of cats (I have 4 at the mo, kept 13 at one point), never had an injury from a thumb (or seen one that big).

4? 13? that's alot of litter box changes! Have you ever got a claw in the lip? It's most unfortunate and painful.
