I've heard the game is awesome, but it still isn't enough to make me buy an Xbox. I'm plenty content with the FF and CT/CC games for an RPG fix.

DISGAEA FOR THE WIN Though Fable is awesome. Zelda meets Fallout.

It may be billed as a Great British RPG but, like most, this isn't quite correct. (to parraphrase Edge again) This isn't because it isn't Great, or because it isn't British, but because it isn't really an RPG. Though it does manage to somewhat redefine the console role playing experience, it's more an action game than an RPG. Or something like that. As I say, I really have to get round to playing this thing.  </td></tr></table>  01. I'll agree with CT; but I didn't like CC. 02. Lunar is > You 03. Strategy RPGs own conventional RPGs. 04. I need to pick up a copy of Disgaea sometime. 05. X-Box sucks. =P

While it may not be a RPG, on my comp I've been having a blast playing "Evil Genius". It's a sorta parody of the 1960's Super Spy Genre. With a bit of a twist. You're the villain. About the closest thing I can really compare it to would be "Dungeon Keeper". Unfortunately it has a number of bugs in it and they are working on a patch for it to address a number of problems. Till the patch is released, I've still been having a lot of fun building my base, interrogating prisioners, committing acts of infamy. (Yesterday I burned a huge section of national forest in Australia. Too many characters in Cross. Apart from that it wasn't bad. 02. maybe 03. Word. 04. Good luck with all that. 05. Doog, I'm gonna have to disagree with you. When I was like 6 my friend had this game called Myst. I didn't really get it, but it looked purdy being pre-rendered and all. Then just last week I got as copy off someone - its amazing once you understand it! Especially when it doesn't come with the manual. It's the sort of game thats fun to figure out what the heck's going on. Myst: buy it now. You won't regret it.

Someone mentioned Fallout! Time to hijak the topic for a little bit..... Years ago, I created my own Fallout site, then called Scotty the Great's Fallout Community (yes, my handle was Scotty the Great back then). I stuck with the site even though it didn't really draw any attention during the first few years. Anyways, the site evolved from being a fan site to a democratically-run community-style place, and early this year it was renamed to The Radiated Society. I loved the place and all the people that joined up to make the site work and succeed, but at last I wanted to move on. So, on the last day of September, I resigned my position and left. Eh, I could go on and on about this, but I won't at this time. If anyone wants to hear more of my ramblings on this, just ask me on AIM. Can't say that I ever played Earthbound. I blame the Nintendo Power ads; there's no way I'm buying a game who's advertisement includes a "scratch and stink" sticker. <img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... ns/dry.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='dry.gif' /> Oh. and Myst rocked, especially when it first came out.
