A plea to everyone on Halloween

So tomorrow is Halloween, I don't know how many of you are going to parties or even trick or treating or what, but I have to make this plea.

PLEASE DO NOT ORDER ANY PIZZA!

I worked at a pizza place for 3 years, and Halloween was always a nightmare. It really is the scariest day of the year. The phone calls started early and ended late. I remember one year working an 10 hour shift and it was just awful. Non stop phone calls, pizzas are always late, people calling and complaining, and our drivers couldn't hurry because they had to be on the lookout for young kids running around. It was always such a mess and every year we'd try to make enough dough for the day but we always had to end up making more... and that takes time dammit! TIME!

I would have been closing this year too... so please, please do not order any pizza from anywhere. Please, give them a break. Buy a frozen pizza... go to your grocery store's deli... that place should be totally dead. And you can have all the food you want.

So yes, no pizza, okay guys? please think of the pizza people ^_^
(and no I'm not trolling or spamming, I'm being dead serious here. I feel for those people, I still have nightmares about it)

So yeah, my parents ordered pizza earlier today, but I wasn't a part of that, because I was at work, which segues into this:

and we had calls NONSTOP as well. luckily, I was on the front end, not the deli. but one of our firehouses was doing a haunted house, so they ordered, oh, just 41 pizzas. Y'know, not too much.

I did but I usually worked nights. I'd start at like 5 around when people would begin trick or treating, so maybe it was busy before then but during the night on Halloween, at least the one I worked at, was totally dead.
