From my research, only one of the 50 United States has no town or city names in common with another state's.

Correct. Alaska has Homer in common with Louisiana. Hawaii's town names are almost all in the native language, and the few English names I found appear to be unmatched.

I understand that Hawaii doesn't have any common city names, but Alaska it was colonised by Russians
there shouldn't be any comon names with the reast of the US mainland.

I know of the Inuits but yesterday I read a book about the 16. and 17.century so I was stuck in that period of time and forgot about the inuits. If I think about it in the book and in simular books there wearen't mentionings about indians just that they were there nothing else.

I knew that most of Hawaii's towns were names in Polynesian languages but I wasn't sure bout Alaska. I just figured it be easier to come up with English names for Alaskan towns than it would be to come up with names for the Polynesian towns. Plus we all like for Hawaii to have those exotic names to its locales. Give a more tropical feel.

I've been to Hawaii. About every third street is called Kamehameha something or other. Kind of confusing when you're looking for Kamehameha Boulevard while driving down Kamehameha Avenue having just exited the Kamehameha Highway.

Also Fairbanks is matched with Indiana, Missouri and Louisiana. Cantwell with Tennessee. Anchorage with Kentucky. Nome with North Dakota and Texas. Petersburg with a gazillion places. Willow with New York and Illinois. Valdez (yes there's a town in Alaska named Valdez) with New Mexico. McGrath with Minnesota. It goes on and on really. Alaska isn't even a close 2nd.Correct. Alaska has Homer in common with Louisiana.
Also, it would appear that two cities in Hawaii include Mountain View and Volcano. There is also a city in California called Volcano. And Mountain View is a city name used in 10 other states.
