I'm a fan of a book series about cats, called Warriors. All the cat's names are compound words, such as Bluestar, Tigerclaw, and Lionheart. One day I decided to make my own, Amberstripe. Later, on a forum, people started simply calling me Amber online, so it has stuck as my nickname ever since.

After being asked several times on the IRC I decided to repost

. My username comes from Irish Gaelic and my real name is actually its anglicized form, Kevin. Its pronounced rather similarly except with a long 'e', I've seen it on one site pronounced 'Kweevin' but a few people have said that may be less common.

Well, Ghostly_Gecko is my screenname in just about any game I play (Yay for Counter-Strike: Source), though I sometimes shorten it to either Ghostly or Gecko.

As for why I decided to use it on DC, I figure that since this forum apparently has quite a few furries on it, a Gecko would be appropriate.

Of course, the real reason I picked it is because it's easy to remember
