I was having a bit of a problem making him look more unique and different than the other characters I had so I decided to drastically change his colors. Though the drawing itself was just to make something different, the colors are what bugs me.
Just to make him seem more different I made his body all white and left the black and dark grays in also made his eyes more reddish. Heh, looks like he got off the bed wrong

Nice drawing, but I'll agree that the colors are bad.

Yeah, he feels sick. Adding the old gray seems to have fixed it. Although I think it would have been nice if it had worked if he was all white.

You should redo the palette entirely. Put some orange in there.

It wouldn't be very fitting for the setting.

Previous experience has taught me that colors that "don't fit" usually turn out really good. Try it: you might like it.

This statement is very true.

perhaps some beige or light tan? Though if you want to do unique, a blue fennec would look pretty cool

I'm concerned less about the colors and more about the unfinished sword.

ah sorry, since I don't have the model here at home I didn't want to spend a great deal of time drawing it. Swords just seem hard for me to draw on this table for some odd reason.
I've just tried to add some other colors. The results were kinda disastrous though. However moving some of the existing colors around make it look a bit better actually.

Keep on trying different color pallets.

The first thing that the choice of colors reminded me of was a vampire, probably due to the snow white fur and the red eyes. Also, something about his general physique sets me off; maybe it's the porportions? But probably not. I can't really pin it to something.
Oh, sorry for my non-helpful speech.

Maybe thats why I didn't feel comfortable. Heh, best to stick with old concepts I guess.

I myself kinda like the second one with the more gray tint on the face. Course I ain't hard too hard to please for that matter.
