There goes days of my life

E Gads! How many days of my life have been slashed away on my project!? I feel the fatigue down to my bones ack!

Well, for those that I haven't shown yet, I have made a 3D model of one of my Fox Outta Time characters. The evil Silray to be exact...
Image

I made concepts of the front and side view and carefully followed the concepts as close as possible.

I'm attaching links because the images are plain huge. Over 1200 pixels wide:

The next project involves creating an environment to put the character into. More hard work to follow :x . Ugh so tired. I spent 10 hours sunday, 7 saturday, 10 friday, 8 thursday, and now I am about to faint....

He is about 10,000 polygons and has 2 1024x1024 textures. The body really needs a 2048x2048 texture. The body is specifically made to be animated so the polygon flow and organization are perfect for the occasion.

Sooo, what do you all think?
EDIT: Added one more image

Wow...that's all I can come up with at this moment. It really jumps out out me it seems. Very nice job. Those red eyes are awesome. As for all that you were saying bout polygons and such...well I'm just plain clueless on that but it sounds cool

10,000 polygons means a lot. In a current next gen FPS, characters often have 16,000 polygons or less. This guy was made for a platformer game meaning that is a whole lot. But really, thanks

Nice job! Did you make the cutlass too? ('lil paw!)

I think you are permitted to faint, 3D stuff generally takes an age to get right, and you got it pretty good.

Yep I made that super cutlass, and I just couldn't resist putting the paw in  .

I like the sword. Its very Sephiroth-esque.
Though I wasn't really aiming for that  . Just the idea of a super long cutlass struck me as being very cool XD.

If it's cel-shaded like that wouldn't it not need that much? garry's mod has a round ball with like a 50x50 texture and it's cel-shaded. Looks like a perfectly round ball... only uses like 20 polygons or something?

It may be cel shaded but there are still details on the texture. Including some I wish to add such as wrinkle marks. If you look at his left sleeve the resolution is kinda low. Also, rather than add more outlines on some creases I plan on manually drawing them on the texture. Since the resolution is kinda low (relatively) the detail lines I make are all blurry and pixelated.

Nice, though his body looks a bit unbalanced.

Thats mostly because of the views I rendered in. He actually looks right. Though his head might be slightly too big on the model. Nothing hard to fix though. The legs are something else since they are welded to the waist. That means I would have to make the waist bigger to just make the legs bigger.

It's just ten polygons, but over 10,000 lines of code.

You got his likeness perfectly, Donny. It's just about exactly like the picture.

I love it =D especially since I can't do 3D modeling.

Hear that? That's the sound of all the furries on Second Life beating a path to your door to ask you to make avatars for them. ;)
