I'm sure many of you have seen the Barack Obama poster with his portrait and the word PROGRESS underneath. It was made by Obey Giant Art. Well, this is my response to that!
However, just because this piece of art is political does not mean you should flame me! I was just showing you guys something I made. Gimme a break.
Do you get the impression that I rewrote this after some of the responses I got below? You betcha.

I'm not that into politics but if anything, I'd rather not support either democratic candidates. They don't strike me as being... preferable yet. So I put my fictional, non-applicable, forum vote for Ron

. And nice art Cam hehe.

I personally don't support Ron Paul. In fact, he frightens me but if someone did something other wingish and posted it here would we be having this conversation?
As long as it doesn't dissolve into sectarian turmoil I don't see the issue or the subscription.

I like it, it looks good.
But if I could vote, I would never vote for him... for he is Republican.

Why won't you evil bulls stop goring innocent, young bullfighters! All they want to do is kill you in the most gruesome of ways!

I have heard what Paul has to say...and I like some of it.
Thing is...hes so far back in the polls...it would take something short of a miracle for him to gain any ground.
Id vote for him....but...Im not gonna have my vote leached.
Sorry...I have to side with Obama on this one.
Oh BTW Cam....nice art.

So much for this thread. In case people hadn't noticed, not everyone here is a US citizen and not every US citizen here is old enough to vote. That being said, if you want to blather on about politics, use the World Events forum.

I will re-open this topic, but only under this condition:
Any commentary here will strictly relate to the artistic merit of Cameron's drawing. This is the forum for fanworks, and it will be treated as such. Any attempt to start a political debate will be removed. As Zaaph said, that's what World Events is for.

I'm sorry, but how would you expect a thread like this to not turn into a political debate? I mean, Cam's picture is basically a political statement in itself, and political criticism is just something that naturally follows something like this. If I where you, I would just Move this entire thread to the World Events forum.
Just My two cents here.
And Cam: It's pretty good. The borders and the shading shimmer, though that's probably just my monitor.

Well one way would be this reply: Great job on this man. Very nicely done portrait and a great likeness I might add.
Nothing political anywhere in that reply.
You make a great point though Baconsticks, it's very hard to keep from going political when the portrait is of a candidate.

Looks nice. When you scroll up and down, the shading shimmers a little.

I've always felt Ron Paul looks like Bob Barker, but then I think any old man in a suit looks like Bob Barker.

I actually see that now that you mention it. Great you past on your every-old-person-in-suit-looks-like-Bob-Barker condition on me. I might have to claim this as a terroristic act by biological warfare
