You guys know Tum0spoo, well, I recently finished some gift art for him. I'm hoping one day people will hire me to do commissions. (But I've had dismal luck. No one's shown interest whatsoever...)

Competition always leads to learning something new. *Smiles*

I said maybe, more so because of my lack of funds right now.
I'm just laughing over how your avatar fits with mine

Sorry but...where's the lower jaw?
It's well drawn for the most part with a good sense of proportion, but my eye just flew to the mouth/muzzle/eating-orafice area and went "Look! Look!"
The weapon seems substantial, but the character holding the weapon, not so much. I think it's a shading issue, because the shading on the weapon looks metallic (with the 'sheen' on the blade a particular high point of the image) but the character seems rather flat by comparison.
(If critique is discouraged here, I'll delete this post, by the way. I'm not sure how things work on this forum)

It was very speed rushed, thence the rather flat shading over all. As for the lower jaw, I indeed agree it looks like it's missing, but I was attempting to make the snout overshadow the lower jaw. An anime-based visual exception.
It seems that weapons are my strong point in design as well. I use to doodle them back in the 6th grade.

*scratches head* I'm unsure of how many halberd-wielding foxes out there would want to get their fur shined.

Technically, if I wanted to be dramatically realistic, he would have an oily sheen to his fur, but that's something I often avoid as an artist, being overly realistic with over analyzed details. I have to give lee way with my work at some level or I make massive, repulsive mistakes in my art.

I really like it. I would consider commissioning something from ya in the future. Right now though money is tight. Now once I get my tax refund...who knows. Thanks for showing us this piece. I would like to see a few more as well in order to make a definitive decision.
