Whew I spent so long on these. I am working on a project for Interactive design and just to put it simply I am behind, quite behind. I will only have 4 hours tomorrow to finish the other pages of content I need to make. Hopefully thats all I'll need.

In any case, these are my best works made on my tiny tablet. Yes, I made it on my tablet and it came out decently, though it was an immense pain. Both drawings were made in Corel Painter 9, a program that emulates realistic tools such as pencil, ink, paint, ect. It even has an option that tells the virtual paint to dry :P. These took probably 4-7 hours total to draw. See why I am falling behind? I started at 4:30pm and now it is 11:18PM and I only have gotten 2 drawings made!

Gregory: I wanted a pose that showed his fear, but a willingness to stand up against it. I totally messed up and now he looks like he is shaking in his fur.

Vertigo: Originally I only wanted a face pose for the coversheet of my project but I got carried away and made a full body drawing. This is him in a more optimized costume since his earlier one had far too many lines.

Maybe it would help if you had his body facing whatever it is he's looking at, instead of away from it as if he were trying to run away.

The scared one looks like he could have come out of "Mynarski Forest."

Explain? I am reading this strip as we speak.

Made this in school. I am getting better at this tablet stuff

I must say... I'm letting my ambition on this project get too high. As we speak I believe I am in over my head on this. I have numerous scenes and animations and I even expect this animation to last 30 seconds. Combine that with the fact that I seriously need to get content done and work on my other classes too. Ambition is good... but it can tear you down. Y Tu Brutus?

Indeed it looks good, but it does look metallic. He said he was attempting to get a "furry" look.

Look at Vertigo, I tried a similar shading method on him, I guess I need some refining.

I guess. maybe you could use a smaller brush and thin strokes... like... I dunno?

IMHO, trying to color in fur texture is getting a little too bogged down in the details. A smooth fill will do just as well, and save you lots of time. Which sounds like it'd be a good thing.
