Corel Painter is my new favourite program

Postby VolkswagenFox » Sat Sep 29, 2007 10:20 pm

I had this sketch hanging around, so I scanned it in and tried to colour it with Corel Painter.

Started this yesterday, worked on it for 6 hours today, and just now finished it. I think my hand's going to fall off.

I think I'm starting to get used to using tablets. Can't stand the sound of the pen as it glides over the tablet though. Gives my goosebumps!

Woah, that really does look like a painting. I'm gonna have to look into that program!

Yeah, it's a good program, and it has an advantage over real painting, which is an undo button! :wag:

That's the program I use, remember?
I recommend it too. (Though I hardly ever paint stuff like VF's pic there because my processor gets too bogged down.)

Cameron is awesome because:
-Because he has an artistic style that is both complex and minimalist. This is profound!
-He once drew me as a roadrunner. It was an actual honest to god feral roadrunner, but a roadrunner nonetheless!
-He lives in Idaho among the wilderness and stuff and I envy him for that. 3:
-He is probably one of the most personable artists on here.
-I think he's the only one of us on here who drew a fanart that made it as a guest strip on O&M. This is an accomplishment!

I have corel painter too, got it free from the school. However my tablet is sooo small that it is useless in this program. a 4x5 isn't that useful compared to a much larger one. At school I used a much larger tablet and made this is corel painter using the ink tools. The background was made in photoshop.

I use a 4x5 tablet. It works, but it was really hard for me to get used to it. Oh well, maybe someday I'll upgrade.
