I'm starting to get a feel for the gradient tool, it's a new tool for me as I've never really had a use for it in the past. I gotta say I love what it can do

I think maybe I have the sky color off a little in the last panel.

You dropped the "fade into white" effect in the last panel, I think. That might be why it looks more saturated.

As for filetype, you could have keeped it as JPG but upped the quality. It doesn't matter, PNG is pretty much the best image format I can think of... unless you're using pictures of real life things.

You are right about the gradient, that's exactly it. It has one, but the fade effect wasn't strong enough.

I'll keep using PNG, lossless formats are best with line art anyway.
