it moves?I got in a drawing mood over the break, so I drew up this little character and then decided to animate him.

I hope to get better, but I do need some constructive critique.

Comments are welcome.

The ears and the fur division on his face look a bit twitchy, but otherwise it's pretty good.&

Thanks for the site, I'm gonna take a good look into it.

Thanks, I'll see if next time I can smooth it out a bit. It's funny how one doesn't see these things.

As for what he's saying... I'm not entirely sure. It was supposed to be something along the lines of "aww, nuts." but come to think of it he could be saying "snazzy" as well.

Guess I'm gonna have to wait until my brother puts a voice to it to find out.

I'm more concerned about the black spot at the top. But you've got a promising start.

Draw out the individual frames (or just the part that changes, if you prefer).

Import them into The GIMP as layers and optimize (Filters > Animation > Optimize (for GIF)), then save the result as a GIF file, making sure to tell The GIMP to save it as an animation.

In Photoshop, the procedure is similar, except you will be working in ImageReady, and have frames where you can make individual layers visible or not. (At least, this was how it worked the last time I used PS - it's been a few years.)

In any other program, I really don't know, but you can probably find tutorials for them online.

it only lasts for 21 days, but it's a start.

that's the program that I used to create the animation.

and the big black spot is actually a hole in the paper that I forgot to photoshop out after I scanned the image. but since it is a rough draft I didn't worry about it too much

That explains the icon in the corner Image

You could've used Photoshop, you know.
