Here are two animations I made from "One thing tails are good for" and "I've always wanted to do a book report this way."

O&M Icons

I'm probably going to redo the one of Ozy because I rushed the job of filling in the details not available in the original, and the flaws bother me. I'm looking around the archives for more comics that lend themselves well to animating. I'm sorry I couldn't post the images directly; I tried to use that renaming idea, but this site doesn't accept image posts with invalid extensions.

Quote:

You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. A valid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.gif, an invalid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.one.gif</ ... tr>

** NOTE: I replaced the bad links up there with a link to a quick page for them

*grr* It's still not working... Don't worry, I'll figure this out as soon as I can.

**UPDATE**
The URLs are correct; it just looks like people will have to cut and paste it... I'm going to make a quickie HTML page for viewing them so they won't have to go through so much trouble.

Well done, Kudos. Those would probably be easy to color. Color would only make them better.

I was thinking about that... Maybe I can do that to the other ones I'm planning. *grin*
There are a couple other good strips that come to mind: Millie's tail wag (in the same strip "Ozy Flap" came from), Millie's brain exercises, Ozy blowing bubbles, or the bug landing on Ozy's nose.

I've been wanting to get into Animation but I don't know how to do so, can you tell me what program you used and how hard it is to use? Or anything on programs to use? Actaully anything you could tell me would help out...

I was so used to using Windows Paintbrush for drawings on the computer, I'd touched up the individual frames there. To combine them into an animated GIF, I saved each frame as a seperate bitmap, imported each one into Corel Photo-Paint 9 as a single movie, and then saved it as a GIF image.

I'm sure there are much simpler programs for the task of making animated GIFs from several images, but at least I can tell my bro I used the software he gave me for Christmas.

Cool thanks. I don't think I have that program, but I'll see if my dad can help me out, he's a total computer nerd *like Stephan, it's creepy* and I think he can help me out. Thanks again

I have a new animation! The bad news is the file is 23.5k, too large for an avatar, but I think it's still some good animating. I might be able to fix that later. Anyway, to view it, copy the URL and paste it in a new window: http://www.geocities.com/tavis_s/images ... r>
Okay.. this one pushed the limits for me.. Millie wagging her tail. The original comic's the same one Ozy came from in the first post. Five tail positions in one drawing had to be split from Millie, and all of them had to be patched up. Millie's replacement legs came from an earlier comic in the series.. bonus points to whoever finds it. They were split in Paint, colored in Photoshop 5.0 LE, exported to eight bitmaps in Paint again, and recombined to a GIF in Corel Photo Paint.

I'm tired. hehe

*blinks* Whoa.. I didn't expect it to turn the URL literal into a hyperlink. Learn something new every day. *smile*
