Ozymandias, are you sure? I was already putting off the close of the entering so that FoxChild may have a chance to submit his artwork. I don't think people would mind too much if it were put off until the 8th if it meant there would be two more entries.

Ok, IF I find the time, I'll take a shot at drawing, but I'll warn you that I have no artistic talent whatsoever and I haven't really attempted drawing in several years. I've done nothing but stick figures for most of my life, so don't expect anything above the talent of a 3rd grader. I know 3rd graders who can draw better than me.

There's always the comedic value. Sometimes a really good gag can make up the differences in drawing skill.

I have a question for jacob... I've noticed on your drawing that the lines are very distinct and there are no smudge marks... so is that pencil or sharpie or india ink or what?

I've tried stick figures to do Ozy and Millie characters, don't ever want to see it again.

I'll admit Sabre, it's only pencil. I'm very good (i like to think) with pencil but just can't get the inking right. I tried not to smudge it but i doubt it would show on that horrible paper. I don't know what a sharpie is.

Sharpie = very fine point marker. Nifty thing to have.

I have Sharpies in 15 different colors (And I mean the genuine brand, not some permanent marker knock-off.)

Black, red, blue, green, purple, orange, yellow, brown, aqua, berry, turquoise, lime, silver, gold, and copper.

Just last week I saw that Sharpie made some more new permanent marker colors... I think they are navy, mauve, olive, and another one.. erm.. *looks up the info in a faq on their website* Hmm.. the site needs updating.

Are you sure they're by Sanford, Sabre? They own the registered trademark for Sharpie. It'd be illegal for another permanent marker manufacturer to brand it with the name Sharpie.

It sounds like Sanford have with 'Sharpie' the same sort of brand name monopoly going as do sellotape and blu-tack, in that the name for their particular brand is in society also the name of the type of product.

(Yes, I do economics, so I subconciously come up with stuff like that all the time. Yeah, I'll think about that next time I drink the last Coke from the Igloo while tacking up a Crayola-decorated Post-It to the Ziploc full of Legos.

there is no way I'm going to finish on time, the separate parts of the project aren't done yet, let alone compiled together.... I'll submit a strip, or something, that may or may not have something to do with the larger, more lengthy project. I'll submit the larger project as soon as its done, i can't wait until the next christmas contest.
