well, heres hoping it uploads!
but yeah... what a day indeed. Anyone who lives in the baltimore area who drives on the beltway in a calm manner, please do know that you won't be included in what i'm going to type in a new thread in the anything forum.
Oh, and i colored it according to millies room. These are the colors that appear in book 2 of O&M, so they are as accurate as that is. I really hope you can read it, everything is hand-drawn, including the text, and i don't boast the best handwritting in... well anything! It is colored in the computer, simply because i don't have the time/supplies... mainly the supplies, to paint it by hand. This is part one of two, mind you. You get to see the result of millies costume in the second strip underwork now. I also have a black & white version, if anyone wants to see if they could recolor it better. As for the car... well when life rains, it pours! i'll explain in another thread!
EDIT: oh, yeah... and happy All Saints day... i say that because i missed halloween by about 3 hours, appearently! wow... the day went rather quickly once i felt like i was doing something!
As for how to choose the winner, i think that a poll should be held, but the ppl who entered should not be allowed to vote. Although, if the second bit of that doesn't go by with everyone/anyone else, don't worry, i won't be heartbroken!
If you've done things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all.

I think we should be allowed to vote for other people's work if we've submitted our own - I know I'd love to give somoene else a vote

REALLY over.. I hope Sabre would not mind putting off the submission deadline, but it'd be a good idea if everyone making it would let Sabre know you're trying to submit one for the competition.

I for one woule love to see these last-minute entries and would not want to see folks miss out just because they needed another day.

Anyway I posted your fan comic. Everyone liked it, including Dave, although he also was unsure of who Ozy and Millie were dressed as.

Oh, Foxchild, you so cra-zay! Great job

Quote:

I negelected to say this earlier but... dang you're good.

Thanks

EDIT: Oh, and I vote that us contenders should get to vote. Even if everyone votes for him/herself, it'll give no unfair advantage to anyone. And there are still those of us who want to vote for someone else.

I think when the poll is set up everyone should be able to vote for every entry submitted. I know i won't be voting for my entry after i've seen every other persons.

I think we should come up with some suggested criteria for voting -- or, at least, when we vote give explanations for why we voted the way we did.

One of the most interesting experiences I ever had was when an artist came to judge some sculptures a few people made using Zometools (a mathematical modelling toy) -- hearing her explanations about why she picked what she did was an enlightening experience.

I suppose I really oughtn't to express any preference. But y'all have outdone yourselves. Nice going.

Nothing wrong with expressing your preference, as long as you wait until after the votes have been counted.

I think the most logical manner of handling the late entries would be to include a "write-in" option in the poll so that if another comes in too late to be entered in the poll, people can still vote for it.

I'd suggest requiring people to list their top two or three favorites in the voting poll's thread, but that would mess up the voting by letting anyone see everyone else's vote before making a decision.
