The Prom

wait.. what? they were 8, werent they? I just figured that it was ozy's first time at that particular school, not first time at school in general. He seems to know what being made fun of is at that point... which most kids don't until school.
If you've done things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all.

I think I mentioned something about the use of flash forward in writing stuff in O&M, where we simply glance at the possibilities without setting them in stone. It's kind of like thinking about what you'd be when you grow up, and then actually seeing how it looks in the limted scope of our present. I actually welcome the notion of seeing how they might look in a prom setting, that it is one of the many possible outcomes they may have in the future, and seeing these scenarios does not have to get in the way with their present.
[...unWARP!!!]

Good evening.

I just noticed something about the prom strips.....

Ozy's wearing ***pants*** and Millie's wearing a ***shirt***??

I wonder if those came along by parental demand, lol...

Until next time, remember:

I AM THE J.A.M.

Good evening.

[WARP!!!]
BSP had it right a while back: they were 8 when the strip started, they were 10 after the style change. I doubt DCS will age them past 10, as childhood is a too important theme in the strip to lose. In fact, I really saw no need to age them to 10, as they really didn't seem to mature or change very drastically anyway. And Mrs. Sorkowitz will always be their teacher. And yes, it's NEVER too late to bring up an IAPW strip. (I actually read IAPW for the first time yesterday, and I read the whole archive; thankfully it wasn't nearly as much as O&M. The strip was funny as heck).

Oh, and J.A.M., my guess is clothes become slightly more appropriate through teens years, but that's nothing anyone here wants to get into. At least I hope not.

I suppose that as the older they get, the more obligated they are to wear cloths. Timulty is naked and Ms. Mudd is fully dressed.
