Coloring Shelley
Moderator:Æron
Whohooo! I'm ungrounded a day early!

Indeed you do have the last say DCS. On the image at the top of this page, I noticed that at the corner of Ozy's face there is a bit of grey below the seperation. Is this the way he is really supposed to look, because in your own colored strips I seem to remember that that part was white too. Maybe I'm wrong though, I'll have to check.

EDIT: Hmm...

http://www.ozyandmillie.org/2004/om2004 ...

http://www.ozyandmillie.org/2004/om2004 ... >

I suspect that grey zone under the white only appears in high detail drawings of Ozy, because it is actually a shadow on the underside of his face.

I suspected so, so I edited my above post with 2 links, one for a more 3d-ish strip that includes the shadow, and one of the more 2d variety. My suspicions are now comfirmed. (You must've posted while I was editing.)

I suppose what DCS was telling us, though, was about the line that goes up Ozy's nose between his eyes. I could easily enough correct that when I get home.

EDIT: Characters are now colored. I also corrected the grey/white line issue. It now goes up a little between their eyes, just like in DCS's colored strips. Now I just hafta choose a color for the walls and basebords, then screw around with the multiplier paintcan and make it do a gradient without effecting Shelley. Then color babby Ozy's blocks.

'Nother Edit: Oops, forgot Llewelyn's tail. I'm actually almost done with the strip on my home compy. I've been making more use of the Paincan's multiply option. It is indeed quite useful. Now I just need to figure out how to simply fill in the whole panel without flooding the color over everything else. Selecting the area to fill works, but it is a slow process to select the pixles that are off from the rest of them.
