Being on Yerf, in particular, is far better than just putting your cartoons on your own web site. It means having ones art on the same web site as well-known web cartoonists and other talented artists (look at Amanda Faber, Raymond Yap, and Jen Seng for example). Plus Yerf has a reputation among furry fans, I guess, as a central location for furry art.

I'd say go for it.

Another well known furry art site is VCL, though unlike Yerf, it allows adult material.

And is really hard to get a simple 'artist list.'

There is an artist list on there but it's rather large.

That site isn't exactly "child friendly."

I don't exactly trust those artist sites... if I want to really publish my drawings, I'd just get more serious on making a gallery myself.

Gah, stupid connection, didn't load the next page after posting and it lost my post

Anyway, I offer free web hosting to artists because artists rock. You'd get unlimited space and bandwidth usage (within reason, I do have limits but it's unlikely you'd ever hit them), but items requiring SQL (some gallery scripts, forums, content management systems) will cost $15 each, since I've used all my available SQL databases and would have to buy more . However, anyone who registers at the Lupinia forum is welcome to use the associated gallery for free.

Jeff had wanted me to make a portrait drawing for him for a while, and while I was in San Antonio last weekend, I did manage to get this much done. After showing him and some people in IRC, I thought I'd share it with everyone here too.

I saw that before and wondered who drew it - it's damn good!

Pretty good there Tavis, reminds me of the... of the... argh I dunno what they're called!
Reminds me of those guys who have pointy beards and wear hades and an artists cap and bang a beat on one of those hand-drums and say rhyming syllables that don't really mean anything and do it at night and... Ned Flander's father was one of them.

Very good indeed, Tavis. It's a splendid portrait.

It reminds me of one of those sixties era artistic hippies.
