Milani. She's the friend of the nervous girl previously featured (Sisi) and the pregnant couple (Lyn and Math.) About them: hmm, let's see. They're all students at college. There's quite an age difference between them, as you can see. Sisi is 17--she was homeschooled and went to college early. She was terrified, but was quickly taken under the wing of Lyn, 20, and her husband Math, 22, along with Milani there, 18. About their personalities...
Milani: She loves to cook, a fact that is perhaps too apparent on the first glance. Like the others, she generally has a mild personality, but that doesn't stop her from behaving like, well, a cat sometimes.
Lyn: The one who holds the group together. Although technically still attending college for a degree in English, she doesn't actually have any classes right now, for obvious reasons. One would probably say she got married too early, if it weren't for the fact that her and Math are so sweet together. Awww. She's the quiet type, the sort who is friends with everyone. A kangaroo rat.
Matthias: Gentle to a fault. Getting him to smash a spider can be a chore at times. Studying engineering; works in IT. Self-effacing almost to a fault. Of the four, he's the only one who could be described particularly as being "in shape." He lifts weights and runs a lot. Also a kangaroo rat.
Sisi: As mentioned above, a bit young for college, and it shows. Nervous and shy, yet outspoken on subjects that interest her. For some reason, she prefers to wear skirts nearly all the time. She is fascinated by history and, for some reason, computers. She has four "boxes" running different operating systems from week to week, and piles of hardware. Some of this she gets as leftovers from Math's job, most of it no one knows where it comes from. Somehow connected to the mysterious Tristyn, who inspired her ambition to be a polymath--an expert in nearly all fields of knowledge. Shares an apartment with Lyn and Math, though it appears she could afford to have the whole thing to herself. It is assumed that her family is fairly well-to-do. Her breed is fairly indeterminate, appearing to contain substantial amounts of wolf, husky, retriever, coyote, and even a little polar bear (her great-grandfather on her mother's side.)
Note on Tristyn: An enigmatic 17-year old coyote girl with a tendency to just show up when something wierd is going on. Nothing much is known about her except that she appears to have a deep knowledge of everything important, and that she drives a white Land Cruiser (though she prefers to take the train when available.)

The setting for all this, I guess, is like a strange cross between 1890's England and the modern Pacific Northwest. I'm still working on the details.

EDIT: Changed the nervous girl's name to Sisi.

Cameron is awesome because:
-Because he has an artistic style that is both complex and minimalist. This is profound!
-He once drew me as a roadrunner. It was an actual honest to god feral roadrunner, but a roadrunner nonetheless!
-He lives in Idaho among the wilderness and stuff and I envy him for that. 3:
-He is probably one of the most personable artists on here.
-I think he's the only one of us on here who drew a fanart that made it as a guest strip on O&M. This is an accomplishment!

Not to confuse Milani with Milliani, an early DCS creation sometimes thought to be the same as Ms. Mudd.

Ah. Forgot about that...it was originally going to be Lilani or Marinn, but the former I thought sounded too much like my aunt's name, and the latter too much like Marynn, who I think is a character in Inverloch...so I combined them.

I...see. I read that topic. Ok... I am broken  those things are too cute for me to bear looking at them for more than 30 seconds. Must... look away... before eyes melt
I won't put mine in my sig then :wag:

Yet another character for this little group-Nathan, the wheelchair boy. He's 20, blond, a philosophy and art student, uses a wheelchair, and Milani up there wishes he were her boyfriend, which he isn't. I haven't worked out what exactly is wrong with him, but he's not paralyzed-he can move his legs and maneuver himself around okay, it's just he can't stand for more than 30 seconds without collapsing in agony. As such he's a very lucky handicapped guy-he doesn't have to ask for help to go to the bathroom. Still can't drive, though.

I appreciate the inclusion of a character in a wheelchair, as long as he's not so rarely seen that people forget him. Disabled people need visibility.

He tries so hard to slouch, but it's never quite convincing.
He has a mixed relationship with that chair. On the one hand, he's kind of proud of it and his disability; on the other hand, it drives him nuts! They're not exactly comfortable, you know. He tries to show that he's not completely reliant on it by using other chairs as much as possible, and spending most of his time on the couch rather than in his chair. And by slouching and trying to be comfortable when he's stuck in it, too. He can do that because, as I mentioned before, he's not paralyzed and can use his legs move himself between chairs if he does it right--note that there are no foot rests on his wheelchair. He insists that he be able to put his feet on the ground.

The reason for his disability is that he was in an accident when he was 16 and his legs were pretty badly mangled. His calves and shins are not pretty to look at, so he always wears long pants.

Looks good Cam. I like the first one better. I like the explanation in the second one too.

Hope wherever he lives, it's relativly cold. Wearing long pants all the time and having fur? He must hate Summer. Nice picture Cam!

Well, the second one was just a scribble that got out of hand. :D It's pretty rough, as you can see.

No, he's a main character, and one of my favorites. (Actually, since the cast* seems to be shaping up to have a predominance of females, he seems to be gradually becoming the lead male character...)

Do you know someone that's disabled, Tom? The way you say "I appreciate" it sounds like something you feel strongly about. 8)

*Well, if I'm truthful with myself, I have to admit that the chances of this stuff ever making it into comic format is pretty slim. But that doesn't stop me from creating the ideas for one, does it?

I think you should make it into a comic if you want to or can. I like the characters and the descriptions.

I would definitely read this if it were a comic.

Sort of: I haven't heard from him in years. He was a college classmate with MS. I sat and talked with him at lunch one day because I hated to see him alone every time. After that, I sometimes sat with him and someone we both liked.

In truth, we didn't have much in common aside from Jewish dads. His sense of humor was meaner than mine, for one thing. Still, I'm glad to have known him.
