It's wierd last night I dreamed that there was going to be a new O&M and I was right! Anyway I guess the strip is Ok. I think that Ms. Mudd is seen through the perspective of Lewellyn in the last panel.

Before that she dreamed of being swept off her feet by a reverse aging pirate captain with a tendency to smack Amway distributors with a raw fish.

This is true.
Strange to not have a punchline at the end of the strip, but it's probably better off for it at this point.

Exactly. Lewellyn himself called Locke the great love of Ms. Mudd's life. Now, she's saying she always wanted to marry a dragon?

I gotta cry foul at that.
DCS seems to be trying very hard to make us forget Capt. Locke ever existed or was a major part of Ms. Mudd's life. I'm surprised DCS hasn't suddenly made someone else Millie's father.
All that aside, the strip is just OK. I liked Lew's vows better.
I know many will disagree with me and like this strip just fine. Nothing wrong with that. I'm just a lone champion for Locke and Ms. Mudd. I honestly believe their love is truer than what's going on here.
Hopefully in the new year, my drawing skills will improve enough so I can bring Locke back home to his family. Sadly, right now I can only draw glorified stick figures.

Because he should have known
8 years ago exactly where the strip was going to go and how it was going to end, right?

Not "always." It was a childhood dream and, like many, faded with time... until it started looking quite viable. She'd have to be pretty shallow to spend all her postpubescent years dating only dragons. Or to try to marry the first eligible dragon she met.
I think there is a punchline here, but it's of the "For Better or for Worse" standard.

And, for the record, I had no idea.
I am starting to insist on "she," though. I've legally changed my name, my driver's license says "F," I've had hormone replacement. I'm a girl.
