Internet comics are so much more original and better than mainstream comics.

"Spewing platitudes" is my new favorite expression. I shall try to use it in conversation once per day.

It would also make a pretty kick-butt band name. If only because it contains the word "spew."

DCS speaks truth!

I could not agree more.

Funny thing is, I read said main-stream comics just before I read the good ones...

"Monday sucks"
Totally Garfield reference right there... if only there was enough room to have a pie randomly splot Millie in the face out of nowhere and then some dorky drab humanoid tells her she's going on a diet
while we're at it, lets make each panel the same... with bland blank backgrounds and a table top...

I knew the gist of the punchline by the second panel. Actually, that's kind of appropriate for a strip about bland comics.
Unfortunately, "I hate Mondays" has become a catch phrase for yet another newspaper comic's cat: Sourpuss in "Mutts." I usually like Patrick McDonnell's work, but he made his worst character decision ever with that ugly, uncreative feline Grouchy Smurf of the comics page. At least Garfield's personality isn't defined by a single, constant emotion.
Here's one for you Millie: "Pre-ripped jeans cost more than other jeans. Isn't that silly?" (As a former regular at Comics Curmudgeon, I was aware of four comics making that joke in one season.)

Not to mention that she's drawn better than damn near anything I see in the 'mainstream' comics. Which look like they were scrawled by a drunken toddler.

I dunno. Opus and Non Sequitor are pretty good. And Doonesbury isn't bad neither.

Dilbert is funny because it's true.

You mean like B.C.?

Great comic today.

Opus and Non Sequitor are pretty good.
From a visual standpoint, yes. Unfortunately, I thought of "Non Sequitur" upon reading the third panel of O&M today.
FWIW, one of today's newspaper strips presents a different take on Mondays:
Single and Looking.

This one made me laugh aloud. Which is quite the accomplishment!
